We had my family come and visit this weekend. It ended up being more eventful (or uneventful) than I had planned. After Blair had gone to the Kentucky State Fair to do some dental service hours, and after Dad and Michael gone to the Quad-stake dance in New Albany, it was time for us girls to head out to go shopping! We got into the car and low and behold…the car didn’t start. The lights had been left on. I called my friend Krista and she so graciously sent her husband and his friend, Mike, over to give us a jump. After waiting an hour for the car to recharge itself, we finally decided it was safe to head out to the mall again. When we got in the car this time, the car alarm went off, making it impossible for us to start the car. We ended up going no where, and instead, playing rumikub and watching Copying Beethoven. Sunday morning, Blair did what he could to find out what was wrong. Turned out that the car alarm is basically a piece of junk and is worthless. I guess we’ll probably end up having it disabled. (Shh…don’t tell the insurance company) Just to make things a little more fun, while we were outside Saturday evening dealing with the car, Spencer (my family’s dog) was so interested in what was going on outside, that he decided to chew up our mini-blinds in order to take a look. (again…shhh! don’t tell management!) What a weekend. Morale of the story: Don’t ever buy a Chevy. They’re worthless.
