Episode

On our way to the Ward Trunk or Treat, we picked up an investigator. I sat in the back with Cami. She was loving it...having someone to look at. She just stared at me for a good while and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, she started screaming.

I have NEVER EVER heard her scream like that. She even had tears running down her face. I have seen tears before, but just a little one in the corner of her eye. This was unbelievable. I had to have Blair pull over when I couldn't calm her down. I took her out of the car seat and held her. At first it didn't help, but she started calming down until she wasn't crying at all anymore. I put her back down, and it started all over again. I ended up getting out of the car, taking the super cute bow and ponytail out of her hair (which explains why her hair looked pretty funky last night, in case you were wondering), and taking her pants off to see if maybe something was biting her leg or something (I dunno...I was grasping!). Everything seemed fine. I checked inside her diaper and she was perfectly dry. She doesn't even have diaper rash. Finally I just put her back in her seat even though she still screamed while she was in it and just held the pacifier in her mouth until she finally accepted it and calmed down. At the church I went to the Mother's Room immediately and checked her body all over again. Nothing seemed wrong.

I still don't know what happened, but she was the happiest baby after we got to the church. I'm hoping it was just a little gas bubble that was bothering her that has since passed, cause I don't think I can handle a repeat...

Is that how colicky babies are? If so, I'm going to pray every night from now on that I don't have any of those...
