9 months?

I can't believe it. It's so cliche to say, but "Time flies."

We went to the doctor's today. She had some blood drawn from her big toe, and since the lady didn't put the bandaid on very well, her sock ended up all bloody. It looked way worse than it actually was. And then we just had one shot. Thankfully I left the house early enough to be able to go back to get the Tylenol that I forgot, because I haven't noticed any grumpiness, yet.

I don't know how to adequately describe how much her personality has grown in just the last couple of days, even. There are days when she gets a little funnier than the day before, and then there are days like yesterday when she doubles in funniness. She has started to do this funny thing where she says a million different consonant/vowel combinations in one breath. See...just can't describe it. All I can say is that I am pretty sure she is going to be a talker just like her daddy.

She went from rolling around to creeping to crawling in no time at all, and now she is just starting to pull up on the furniture. She gets this super funny look on her face once she has pulled up like "Look what I can do, Mommy...better watch out!" But then she gets a little frustrated when she realizes she has no idea how to get down. Hopefully that won't take too long for her to master.

She has started this thing where if she's sitting somewhere and I stand up and walk toward her, even if it's not meant to be, she thinks I'm chasing her, and she immediately turns in the other direction and crawls away as fast as possible while shrieking. She doesn't usually realize that I'm not actually chasing her until she gets all the way down the hall. Then she'll wait a minute before she turns and crawls back growling. Seriously...she growls. Blair and I were wondering where she got so silly...and then we realized that we do all of these things to her. Like...if you're laying on the ground, she'll crawl up to you, growling of course, and then she'll put her mouth over your nose and suck on it. Crazy girl...

I bought these baby proof things for the TV stand...it has those glass doors that have magnets, right...and I put one on the top of the doors. Within 5 minutes of her trying, she got it off. So...I put another one on the bottom of the glass. Now, she works for about 20 seconds to get the top one off, and then just plays with the little plastic thing and forgets all about getting into the glass doors. So, I guess in a way...they work!

We got a mirror for the car so that we can see her. She loves to be able to see me, and will randomly start giggling when she notices me again in the mirror. I have to be careful, though, because I love to watch her, and as you can imagine...that can be dangerous.

She has become a bit of a food disposal. She will eat anything, it seems. As long as she can put it in her own mouth, she'll eat it. Like last night...she ate grean beens...something she never would have let me put in her mouth in puree form. I love this very much and will be sad when she becomes a picky little toddler. (I know it's inevitable.)

Oh, and for the record:

29 inches long (90th percentile)
19.05 pounds (50th percentile)

All that crawling is great for a workout. Maybe I should try it.

Caylor is the same way about food. He won't eat pureed veggies, but he downs them in their original form. I guess I don't blame him. She is so cute! One day I will actually get to see her in person I'm sure...
