Okay so it's been a while...

i've been in such a rut. seriously. can't seem to muster the energy or desire to be blogging.

But today I was thinking about my little one and was realizing how much she's changing and how much I don't want to forget the little things.

So here's a little list of little things that I don't want to forget:

  • she loves to dance when music is on
  • she has discovered that pens have ink in them and that when she scribbles on paper, she can make pretty pictures
  • she has cut 4 teeth in the last few weeks, and it has been very very hard on us. also, i think i felt a molar coming in last night when i was brushing her gums...oh joy.
  • she has finally discovered that sesame street is on FOR HER and will actually become glued for up to...oh 5 minutes. But hey...5 minutes is a big step! (yah, I'm pushing TV on her...gotta have an emergency babysitter in the house)
  • she now knows where her nose and her belly button are. we're working on other parts.
  • when she gets mad, she pulls her hair out. then she gets more mad. it's a vicious cycle.
  • she clings to her daddy in the morning because she knows he's getting ready to leave. she won't even look at me at that time. of course, it makes him melt and because of this he ends up being a few minutes late to work much too often.
  • i've started to just give her half of the banana without cutting it up. she gets the brightest smile on her face when i do this. like "really mom? really?!"
  • she calls me "Mom". Not mama or mommy. Mom.
  • she is ALWAYS wanting to eat. thankfully she eats almost anything, as well, so it makes it easy on me. the girl is a disposal. isn't that supposed to slow down here soon?
  • for the first time ever, she drank warm milk from a sippy cup yesterday. this is HUGE. i'm hoping we can start the bottle weaning process soon. i'm waiting for a break in the teething, though
  • she has become a lot more cuddly in just the last week or two. of course, she chooses when she wants to be this way and WILL NOT be forced to cuddle. that doesn't stop my dad from trying, though
  • she has learned what "sit down" means. she may have known that for a while, but i just noticed
  • she LOVES getting her teeth brushed
Anyway, I know there are more little things, but for now, that's all I can think of. Love that little girl.

How fun. I wish William would love to have his teeth brushed! He's usually all smiles most of the day but throws a huge fit when we try to brush his teeth!

Ha! It seems like not too long ago you were writing in desperation about her not even thinking about taking a bottle and not having any teeth! It's amazing how fast time goes by...

Isn't it amazing what you can get done in those 5 minutes?
