Grr.

It can't be a coincidence that the #1 way to treat Mastitis is to nurse as much as possible. If it weren't, it would be so tempting to just throw in the towel.

That sounds a bit dramatic, I admit. I'm not dying or anything. In some ways, I feel better today, in some ways, I feel worse. All in all, I'm getting through it, and just hope that things clear up soon.

Dude I totally feel ya! I'm not even exagerating when I say that every 2 weeks since Abby was born, I get a clogged duct...only twice has it turned into mastitis...but one of those times was on friday. I woke up with a temp of 103...and spent all day in bed either with the chills or feverish sweats...why does no one tell you about ALL the pain and complications that can come with breastfeeding!? They always just talk about the pregnancy, labor, birth, and baby stuff. Anyways...good luck with that. Ive found that HOT showers with some intense massaging as well as pumping while holding a warm rice sock over the spot tend to work pretty well and offer some relief.
