Still wondering where those 5 years went. Love you, Blair.
We did some internet searching to find out what was traditional for a 5 year anniversary, and saw that "wood" was the theme, and that these Welsh Love spoons were as traditional as you could get. I thought it was pretty cool, but never imagined that Blair would MAKE me one. How priceless is that? He did it all by hand during his down time at work. If you look close at the musical symbols, they mean something. Any guesses? It took me a few minutes to figure it out...(oh, and have you ever tried to DRAW a treble clef that perfectly? Well, he carved it. Thank you very much.)
My Red Roses. :)
Blair's Big Surprise. I actually wrapped a big bag of Hickory Wood Chips (trying to go along with the whole WOOD theme) and then told him it'd go real well with something outside. Of course, he knew what it was as soon as he saw the wood chips. :) It's a Weber Smoky Mountain to replace his charbroiler side firebox smoker. (although, I'm not convinced he's ready to craigslist the old one...darn!)
Love you, Blair! Here's to many more years together!
