Backtracking-October 2011

I know, I know. I haven't been blogging. I have many reasons, but the main one is that I just haven't had the inclination to sit down and do it. Not only have I had a lot of things going on, but when I don't, I just don't want to! And I'm okay with that.

We've had lots of holidays pass us by since my last post on October 21st.

For Halloween this year, I asked Cami what she wanted to be. We have been all about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse these days, so when she said that she wanted to be Minnie and Noah to be Mickey, I hit the ground running! I had grand ideas of making all of the costumes, but I decided not to overwhelm myself. (it happens very easily these days) I bought Cami's, borrowed Noah's, and made mine and Blair's Daisy and Donald costumes. I think everything turned out just great! I think I liked Blair's the best, though...

Also, I decided I wanted to host a Halloween Party this year. I had never really done that much for Halloween, so I had to do some catch up on decor and ideas, but I think it turned out pretty fun. We had a pot luck dinner, went trick or treating, and played a couple simple games (mummy wrap and donut eating contest to be exact)

Right around Halloween, we went on our 4th annual trip to Montgomery Farms. This is one of the things I look forward to the most each year. I love getting bundled up and sitting around a fire (and while I love to camp...it's nice to be able to do that without all the stress of camping). We also went a little early this year and picked pumpkins! That was SOOOO fun. We had the hayride to ourselves, and the kids just LOVED it. Whatever makes them smile ear to ear makes me so so happy.
