Summit

Every year, Mortenson Family Dental has a big event for all the employees where they have a bunch of classes and lectures and team building activities and then they have a semi-formal dinner and an award show. Blair was asked to be one of the MCs for the night, so we decided to splurge and buy him a tux (especially since he needs one again in two weeks, and renting one is half the price of buying...so yah...might as well own the darn thing). I think he's a stud, but then I'm kinda biased. They furnished him with the hat and cane just for fun.

Unfortunately, the 12$ used tuxedo shoes we bought turned out to be kiiiiinda worthless. The entire heel of one of them was flopping around after just an hour (or less) of wearing them. Luckily Matt (Blair's partner) was okay with going barefoot so Blair wouldn't have to be on stage in socks. That's what friends are for, huh? Anyway, I was really excited to join him for the dinner and awards show and get all dolled up. I bought a dress, got my nails done, and had a friend do my hair all pretty. I felt a lot prettier than I look in these pictures, so that's what matters, right? I know it looks like I should have an announcement to make by the looks of the first one (the dinner was really good, alright?!) but I don't...

So, for some reason, whenever Blair is away from home overnight, I have this weird need to stay up till 2 in the morning wandering around the house aimlessly. I don't know why, but that's just what happens. I'm glad he doesn't leave me overnight very often...
