Since the last post, we've had a few fun things happen. Noah turned TWO for starters (I'm a horrible mom for not posting about it...) I had been telling people he was two for a while because I tend to get asked a lot how old my kids are since I'm sporting a pregnant belly. When I say he's two, I get less "you're crazy" comments/looks/stares, etc. Consequently, Cami has also been Four since I've started showing...;)
We found out we are having a baby GIRL. The ultrasound tech let Cami in on the secret before anyone else knew, and she thought that was pretty awesome. She was hoping for a sister (of course) and was almost in shock, she was so excited. Noah doesn't really care...but I was pretty excited to:
1. have another girl so I can coordinate girl clothes between her and Cami.
2. put the boy clothes away and break out the girl clothes again.
3. let Noah be my "only boy" for a while longer (he's my little lover boy)
4. give the baby room a fresh coat of paint. (it needed it either way, but I probably would have been too lazy had it been another boy)
5. keep a nice pattern going (we'll be hoping BOY next time around, for sure)
There are plenty of other reasons why it'll be fun to have a girl, but you get the idea.
Grandma and Grandpa Brown came to visit and we took a little mini trip to Nashville, TN. Grandpa wanted to see the Grand Ole Opry, so we made the trip especially for him. We stayed in a perfect little KOA cabin with a mini kitchen and bathroom and beds for everyone (I vetoed the camping idea) and we even were able to have a little campfire action along with it. The kids LOVED it and were so good.
When we got back from Nashville and said farewell to the Brown's, we had one day to get ready for our own special trip: A cruise! We took a 3 nighter on Carnival's Sensation to Nassau Bahamas. It was short, but sweet, and Grandma Arntz was kind enough to come stay with the kids while we went. I barely made the cut-off for how pregnant you're allowed to be to go, so it was great. Good times.
Blair had a birthday shortly after we got back from Cruising. He finally got the third and final piece of his Weber Grill collection (the performer charcoal grill) and has been enjoying that.
I am now just shy of 28 weeks pregnant and am trying to avoid counting down the days/weeks just yet. I am going crazy enough as it is. This summer is already proving to be a hot one (and it's only the first day, officially, today) It's gonna be a long 3 months...
