Blair has wanted to put in a garden since the day we moved in, and it just didn't happen last year. I couldn't not let him do it this year, so that was the first order of business as soon as the weather got better. SOO...we did an awful lot of digging and terraced our hill a little (bringing the 17" slope down to about 8 inches) with those 2x10's, and now we have a nice little (well, 8'x10') garden box. RIGHT as we got the last board secured the thunderstorms rolled in and besides some reprive on Sunday, haven't really left. Hopefully one of these days we'll be able to get some things PLANTED! Planning on doing tomatoes (they're fail-proof, right?), green beans, peas, peppers, and a few other things.
We were trying to make it a 'family' project and let the kids run around the yard getting as dirty as possible with us, and this was the end result for Noah-von-stinker-pants. He may or may not have face planted right into the pit of mud. That boy was BORN to be dirty. :)

I'm impressed! We did a garden last year and it was going great till Rhett was born and then we kind of forgot/were too tired to care about watering it...fail. Good luck!
